La Makaira est la planche de surfoil performante de la gamme. Elle a un aspect ratio plus important que la flyingsquid, ce qui lui donne une excellente glisse à la rame. Sa largeur réduite, notamment au pied arrière permet de mettre beaucoup d’angle, vous ne serez pas limitez dans vos carves. Planche de surfoil qui marche dans toutes les conditions même les plus grosses.
La Makaira possède une carène travaillée, avec un double concave sur le tiers avant, offrant ainsi un départ excellent. La carène, dont le double concave s’inscrit dans un concave global permet de ne pas coller à l’eau surtout lors des touchettes. La répartition du volume est relativement avancée avec son bulbe au nose ce qui permet de s’avancer correctement sur la planche à la rame. Ca permet également d’avoir une position de foil avancée et la sensation d’une planche plus petite.

The Makaira is the high-performance foil board in the range. It has a higher aspect ratio than the Flying Squid, giving it excellent paddling glide. Its reduced width, especially at the rear foot, allows for a lot of angle, and you won’t be limited in your carves. This foil board works in all conditions, even the biggest ones.
The Makaira has a refined hull with a double concave on the front third, providing an excellent takeoff. The hull, with the double concave fitting into an overall concave, prevents sticking to the water, especially during touchdowns. The volume distribution is relatively forward, with its bulb at the nose, allowing proper positioning on the board when paddling. This also enables an advanced foil position and the sensation of a smaller board.
